How to reach us:
Coming from Joyeuse, heading for Valgorge, take the turning for Ribes.
After approximately one kilometre you come to a fork,
at which you follow the sign for 'Centre Bourg' to
the right; then take the second turning right in direction of Le Dabert (the first one takes you to
Le Prat). Our house is the third on the left, about 500m down the road.

Activities & location

In and around the village itself: walks, horse riding, cyclo-touring, mountain bike circuits, tennis courts, swimming, boules (a weekly competition is organised), river fishing, silk worm exhibition and other themes, visits of vineyards, of the goat farm;
guided tour of Ribes (depending on the season).
In the vicinity: rock climbing; canyoning; canoeing and kayaking; all types of hikes and tours - there is a wealth of choice, whatever your expectations and level, from the Gorges de l'Ardèche to the Massif du Tanargue, the Corniche des Cévennes, the area immediately surrounding Ribes... Alternatively of course you may just decide to lie back by the pool on one of the shaded terraces or relax in the lush garden under a parasol.
You can also take part in the visits organised to discover the area, notably:
- medieval villages such as Balazuc (listed amongst the most beautiful villages in France), Thines (with its superb church), Joyeuse (Charlemagne's town, and its museum of the Chestnut), Largentière, les Vans...
- grottos (famed throughout France), museums, vineyards, silkworm farm...
There are numerous concerts and musical evenings organised (Labeaume en Musiques festival, Theatre-farm etc. according to the time of year), and recent films are screened six kilometres away in Rosière (6 km).
All in all, far too much to fit in to a week or even a fortnight like so many, you will have no alternative, but to return again and again...
