A few tips for the two or three-day runs. A prior booking with the company renting out the equipment to you. Equipment required : Neoprene shoes, trainers. Swimming costume, shorts, T Shirt, Cap, sun hat, glass straps, wind breaker (according to the weather forecast). Tent, sleeping bag. Food, drinks for all the meals, as there is no possibility of buying anything during the run.

Preparations and embarkation: A closed and private parking area is at your disposal. Two containers per canoe are supplied; they will hold all the equipment required for your descent. Bin bags are provided upon departure. A topographical map showing the main spots of interest as well as the run-times between each one is also supplied. You are also issued with safety recommendations and navigating advice, as well as with safety jackets and paddles. Transport to the embarking jetty, loading of the boats, fine tuning and departure. Tickets which allow you to spend the night on the bivouac area: 5 euros/pers. These tickets are for sale at the EVASION office when you leave (except for red nights*). How the bivouac areas function: Two bivouac areas are set out in the Natural Reserve of the Gorges de l’Ardèche; they provide the following amenities: sanitary block, showers, barbecue grills and charcoal. There is a person responsible who is there permanently and who can help you should you require so. Welcome on the landing jetty: A shuttle service awaits at the jetty to carry you back to the base of EVASION Canoë in RUOMS. *Special case: red nights (nuitées rouges). During some periods of the year, special conditions have been set out which regulate the buying of the bivouac tickets. This is to ensure that the conditions of your expeditions in the Natural Reserve of the Gorges de l'Ardèche will be of the highest quality. The number of people who can access some portions of the river is limited on the Saturdays of June and July. It is necessary to pre-book those specific nights as early as possible and send payment of 5 euros per person at the latest eight days after said pre-booking. (cheques to be  sent to EVASION in RUOMS and made out to ‘Trésor Public’). The tickets will be available from the EVASION office on the day you embark. Personalized Service: For each descent, the EVASION Canoë Team offers the following options: - A personalized welcome (booking recommended). - A parking place - The equipment for the participants: jacket, single or double paddle, container. - A detailed map and a choice of boat. - A shuttle run in a mini bus to the embarkation jetty. - A demonstration of how to use the canoe - A descent at your own rhythm. - Greeting at the arrival and shuttle run back to your car in RUOMS. Quality equipment: All our boats are unsinkable, double-bottom, and a lot of them are self emptying. The choice we have made of such technical quality allows you to navigate in total security... The life-jackets are approved and meet the stringent European standards of navigation. A wide array of paddles ensures you will find the ideal fit for yourself. Advice: In order to navigate on the River Ardèche, you must know how to swim. Children must be over the age of 7. Accommodation: Mas Saint-Alban - bed and breakfast, gite (for 2 persons)
